Comparative Retail Spending - Personal Items Report

For a range of Personal Items, this report compares the expenditure pattern in an area to those of the US overall. An Area Index is calculated for each Personal Item variable which measures how retail expenditure on detailed Personal Items in an area differs from what would be expected based on the US average.

This report offers valuable insight into any extraordinary and/or unusual expenditure patterns in an area related to Personal Items. Both the relative volume of expenditure on, as well as the relative allocation of expenditure among, detailed Personal Items product categories can be evaluated.
