Comparative Retail Spending - Food, Beverage, Tobacco Report

For a range of Food, Beverage, and Tobacco items, this report compares the expenditure patterns in an area to those of the US overall. An Area Index is calculated for each variable which measures how retail expenditure on detailed Food, Beverages, and Tobacco items in the area differs from what would be expected based on the US average.

This report offers valuable insight into any extraordinary and/or unusual retail expenditure patterns in an area related to Food, Beverage, and Tobacco. Both the relative volume of expenditure on, as well as the relative allocation of expenditure among, detailed Food, Beverage, and Tobacco product categories can be evaluated.

The report includes a range of Household Expenditure Estimates on Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Items across several broad and detailed (in parentheses) categories:
