For a range of business categories, this report compares the concentration of daytime population (e.g. employees) and businesses in an area, by type and size, to those of the US overall. An Area Index is calculated for each business category which measures how the daytime population and business environment in the area differs from what would be expected based on the US average.

This report offers valuable insight into any extraordinary and/or unusual concentrations or patterns of daytime population, payroll, or businesses in an area.
