For a range of business categories, this report
compares the concentration of daytime population
(e.g. employees), payroll, and businesses, by
type and size, for up to three trade areas around
a location. An Area Index is calculated for
each business category which measures how the
daytime population, payroll, and business environment
in the area differs from what would be expected
based on the US average.
This
report offers valuable insight into any extraordinary
and/or unusual concentrations or patterns
of daytime population, payroll, or businesses
in an area.
The report includes a range of business concentration
measures across several standard size, occupation,
and SIC categories:
